You must install at least 1 battery for operation. For best performance, it is recommended to utilize all included batteries.
This unit can be used effectively on gravel surfaces; however, it is necessary to raise the height of the skid shoes to avoid accidental injury or damage. Extreme caution should always be taken when using this product on an uneven surface.
In ideal conditions, our dual-stage snowthrowers can clear up to an 8-car driveway! It is important to note that the overall run time received is ultimately determined by the load acting against the unit and will fluctuate.
This unit has two hub motors, one for each wheel. Both motors are activated while moving straight, and one deactivates while turning.
Our 60V 24" Dual Stage Snow Thrower is currently sold as a tool only under model number 261702CTBT. The complete kit including 3x5.0Ah batteries and a dual-port charger goes by 2610702CT. While we do not currently have a tool-only 80V version available, we hope to have this available for you in the future!
Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another. Please be advised that the higher the ampere-hour (Ah) rating is on a battery, the more run time it can provide.
The batteries must be removed from the unit for charging and placed on a compatible Greenworks charger.
This unit is designed to be controlled manually to go upstairs, using the reverse function, or downstairs, in the forward position. Heading upstairs you will go up in reverse function while slightly pulling up and controlling the balance and weight. Going down the stairs we suggest going in reverse with the operator below, using the neutral or unit off position to roll the unit and control by the operator. Please note: Damage to wooden or composite stairs or decking may occur if not handled or controlled properly during this purpose. Always use extreme caution when maneuvering on stairs or unlevel surfaces.
Yes, this unit can be operated on slopes and/or hills. Always exercise extreme caution when operating on an incline and ensure you always have proper footing and balance.
Yes, please use designated snow thrower tire chains for this purpose. The chain must be designed for a 15" wheel (Tire specifications are AT 15 x 5-7). Please note that we do not currently manufacture or sell tire chains. Follow the instructions included with the chains to ensure proper installation.
Yes, they can be. Simply push the LED headlight button located above the power button to adjust the headlight function. There are 4 different light settings.
To move the chute, you must pull on the chute control handle. This will release the lock on the chute control gear and allow you to move the handle left or right. Once the chute has been directed, release the grip handle to lock the chute in the desired direction.
The drift cutters are located on each side of the unit. Simply loosen the knobs and pull the drift cutter until it has been fully extended. Repeat on opposite side. Drift cutters are designed to break down drifts during use and prevent snow from falling on the top of the housing; the drift will instead be knocked down in front of the auger to be removed.
Heavy or icy snow may cause the discharge chute to become clogged while in use. If you do get a clog, DO NOT attempt to unclog it with your hands or feet. Instead, turn your machine off and wait at least 10 seconds for it to fully stop. Then, use the supplied 3-in-1 snow brush to clear the clog. Operating Tip: If you notice that the chute is clogging often, try adjusting the angle of the chute and increasing the impeller speed.
The benefit of having an adjustable impeller speed ensures that the unit can be used in a variety of conditions. A lower auger speed usually translates to a smaller throwing distance - low speed also gives the user more control so that you can direct the snow where you want and avoid overshooting or re-covering previously cleared areas. When operating the unit at a higher speed, you can throw the snow further when the space allows and clear the area more quickly.
