The Greenworks Pro OPTIMOW 50 is a fully automated Robotic Lawn Mower designed to expertly maintain lawns up to 3/4 acre. Installation is simple, and all required materials are included.  The OPTIMOW 50 was designed with safety in mind, and features an integrated lifting sensor, collision sensors and rain/frost sensors. Despite its ability to cover large areas, the OPTIMOW 50 is highly maneuverable, and its exceptionally low operating noise means you'll forget its even there.

  • Do you need a mobile phone network?

    • The robot comes with a pre-installed SIM card, with a prepaid subscription for 2 years starting from the date of purchase. After the subscription expires, you can choose to renew it. If you opt not to renew, the mower will continue to operate with the settings saved prior to expiration. However, you will lose access to app-specific features such as GPS tracking and will not receive software updates.

  • Greenworks App Compatible?

    • Users can download Greenworks GreenGuide from App Store/Google Play and follow the on-screen instructions for how to pair the mower. Please be sure to have the unique pairing code (found on the quick guide manual) and the mower at hand.

  • How much guide wire is provided and the gauge?

    • The mower comes with 600 feet of guide wire. • DC resistance @ 20°C: <25 ohm/km • Voltage rating: >50 VRMS • Gauge: 18 AWG If additional cable is needed it can be purchased on our website.

  • Can it detect edges?

    • The mower is equipped with a sensor to detect the boundary wire. You can lay the wire over the desired area to define the mowing zone, avoiding raised edges.

  • Will it work on a hill?

    • Optimow 50H has a max. angle for cutting area of 35% slope handling

Amazing hack

The boundary wire can be left outside in the winter when you disconnect it and bring it to the garage and in the spring just cut it back and add some more with an extension kit or left overs to reconnect easily!

Works well as a maintenance tool but need to watch grass height

Took some time setting this up as instructions in box were not clear. Couldn't connect to app either. But it is great as a maintenance tool and takes care of my lawn throughout days I'm on the road so that my grass isn't out of control when I get back. Lawn still needs a good cut once every 7-10 days but definitely less now that I use this.

Works most of the time but with minor issues

I bought 50H from Costco few weeks ago. Just set it up over the weekend. Installation is pretty straightforward if you read the online manual and follow the instruction videos carefully. I've run it few times. However it ran into Offline twice this morning. The good part is that I can check the Error list to find out why. One time it says Cutting motor blocked. The other says Cutting motor overloaded. Each time I found it at a place where I don't see anything unusual that could cause block or overload to the motor.
