Great for removing branches from trees

I bought the pole saw which I love but it was too long at nearly 11 feet?!So I removed the extension piece and rewired the battery to the saw head and now it is 6 feet long and very easy to maneuver and cut with !!This saw will cut through anything and the reduced length makes it a breeze to handle.I know I voided warranty but I’d rather have a saw I can handle than a guarantee from the company about a product I know works great!

I bought this a month ago and am very happy with it. Like all the 80V tools it does a great job and has more than enough power. Very well balanced and super easy to use.

Chain come of the bar as soon as you use the saw.

I was thinking of buying a gas operated chain saw but after further consideration bought this saw for a number of reasons. 1 it was battery powered 2 it was quite 3 it had an extension that allowed me to reach out if reach branches and 4 it was provided me the most powerful saw all wrapped into these attributes. It so easy and safe to use. A great purchase that paid for itself because hiring a contractor would have cost the equivalent of the saw.

I'm 5' 8 and weigh about 175lbs. This is balanced well and I've even taken it on a ladder. I can't hold it steady enough for undercuts but the overcut works flawlessly. I highly recommend this for any customer who has wooded areas and wants to cut branches from a distance.

I purchased the 80V Pole saw and battery and it was easily able to handle the 4-5 inch branches I threw at it. You do have to remember to check the chain tension often but that is something you must do with most of the competitors as well. Great tool. Would definitely buy again if I needed to!

I purchased this pole saw for farm use. The 80 volt system provides plenty of long lasting power. The saw cuts and operates as expected. I would definitely purchase this product or other Greenworks products again.

I bought this a few weeks ago and already have used it to trim some trees. It works well and helped me trim a tree that needed a lot of help and helped me take down a tree (in conjunction with the brushless chain saw) in a short amount of time.

I purchased this item because I am very satisfied with the blower and weed-hacker- This uses the same batteries and once I commit to a battery system that's the direction I go- Already not having to unwind 200' of cord has made the purchase worth it-

Great tool to have very durable and at a great price

I've had the saw for a couple weeks and am satisfied overall. It cuts great and is relatively easy to use once you get the hang of it. One complaint is that it sprays oil all over when in use and leaked bar oil all over my brand new garage floor as well as the foam handles when stored upright by the molded plastic storage hook. I recommend draining the oil after use and putting a piece of cardboard under it to catch the leaks.

I bought this two months ago. It's incredible! I trimmed tree branches up to a full 10 and it cuts them so fast and efficient. The battery lasted almost 2 hours. I highly recommend it. My next purchase will be a 80 volt string trimmer as I am always replacing carburator on my weed eaters every two years. Thank you Greenworks for a quality product.

I live on a large property with 200 year okd oak trees in need of trimming. This monster makes short work of oak which surprised me as it us a very hard wood and the limbs in need of grooming are not small. I am very happy with my purchase.

I bought a few months ago and just had time the past two weekends to use it.Has a lot of power and like it better then the Stihl gas powered pole saw I had in the past.

Outstanding product. Cuts down thick branches without messy cord or gas. Plenty of power and not heavy. Absolutely love it will be upgrading all gas to professional v80 greenwork products.

The company is unreliable. Customer Service it terrible. The bundle purchased from COSTCO of the String blower the company did not have manuals nor replacement parts available at this time!!!

I ordered this a few months when it was available and after a couple of days went back to see if it was shipped and noticed that it was no longer available online (but did verify my order was placed). I attempted to contact support/open a support ticket at least 3 times to ask if/when it will get shipped and heard nothing back from them for nearly 2 months! Finally I got a response from my support ticket telling me it was shipped.I'm assuming that since my order was placed but didn't ship promptly that it was an oversell/backup order situation I'm ok with that but the very poor customer service is what is driving the 1 star review

This is super easy to use and cuts very well. Had to get the chainsaw too!

The speed and reach of the saw is great for pruning. And the balance is quite good when the battery is installed. Easy to adjust chain tension

Plenty of zip on the chain speed with 80V running a small 10 bar so the cutting power is excellent. Definitely helped clear out the lower brushy trees which the biggest thing is it will cut down on the number of trees I need to climb to limb up for fire safety around the house. Less time climbing trees is a win in my book (inverse relationship to 10 year old me).

cuts great and fast

The product arrived obviously re-packaged so I immediately expected the worst. And sure enough the charger didn’t work. I already have a Greenworks 80v lawnmower so was able to use the charger from that. With a charged battery the pole saw works as expected. I reported the problem to Greenworks but have received no reply

good tool - works as I expected

I got this after having an amazing experience with my Greenworks 60V Pole Saw. The 80V Pole Saw has an extra foot of reach (9 feet) and extra power. This has worked amazingly when dealing with dry dead branches. Moving from hard woods to dead palm fronds this saw cuts like a warm knife through butter. It is also quite easy to use and my neighbors have benefited from both the quietness of the tool and also from my volunteering to help them with trimming their trees. As an added bonus it is extremely to break it down to fit in a truck bed or car trunk; loosening a couple of nuts with the included tool and the saw folds up into small sections. I love this tool and anybody in my neighborhood just needs to ask and I'll gladly help trim your trees for you!
